House in Tel Aviv 02
The biggest challenge on this site was providing a sense of space and privacy within a crowded area.
An interior garden, a piece of nature, an island of silence in contrast to the urban surroundings, with the main goal of providing a wide variety of visual and experiential moments.
From the moment the entrance gate from the street to the house opens, the materials change and become natural: Crushed basalt, basalt stone paths, rocks, water, and vegetation. Only a few concrete castings and paved surfaces.
A garden that reaches and touches the threshold of the house. A sound of flowing water. A green area of grass and blossoming ground covers soften the edges.
Areas of crushed basalt emphasize a horizontal plane and offer open spaces.
All of these give the house a feeling of green open space which is reflected from the inside to the outside and from the outside to the inside.
